What kind of company is this?
LekkaPay is built by African Payment Solutions, an engineering-led South African payments company that is part of the RCM Group. The people behind it are payments veterans - more than twenty years building, running and securing payment systems - and the platform is that experience rebuilt cloud-native and serverless-first on AWS, in a PCI DSS Level 1 environment. It is run, deliberately, by a small senior team that leans hard on automation to keep everything smooth, accurate and fast for the humans who depend on it. There is no sprawling hierarchy here: the people who work on LekkaPay own real systems end-to-end, ship to production often, and see the direct result of their work every time money moves.
What kind of work is it?
Payments is one of the rare fields where the engineering is deep and the outcome is tangible. The problems we enjoy are the unglamorous, hard ones - reconciliation that balances to the cent, idempotency under retry storms, fraud signals that catch the bad actor without blocking the good customer, uptime that holds on the busiest trading day of the year. If that list reads as fun rather than tedious, we are probably your kind of company.
