Website terms of use

These are the terms that apply when you browse lekkapay.com. In short: use the site fairly, respect our content and brand, treat what you read as general information rather than advice, and note that merchants using our payment services are governed by their Merchant Agreement, not by this page.

This document is a working draft prepared for launch and is subject to final legal review.

Acceptance of these terms

These terms of use govern your access to and use of the LekkaPay website at lekkapay.com, operated by African Payment Solutions (Pty) Ltd. By browsing the site you accept these terms; if you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

These terms apply to the website only. If your business uses LekkaPay's payment services, that relationship is governed by the Merchant Agreement signed at onboarding, not by this document. Where these terms and a Merchant Agreement differ, the Merchant Agreement prevails for the services it covers.

Permitted use of the site

You may use the site to learn about LekkaPay, evaluate our services and contact us. You may not use the site in any way that is unlawful, that interferes with its operation or that of any connected system, that attempts to gain unauthorised access to any system or data, or that misrepresents your association with LekkaPay or African Payment Solutions (Pty) Ltd.

Intellectual property

The LekkaPay name and logo, and the content of this site - text, graphics, page designs and documentation - belong to African Payment Solutions (Pty) Ltd or its licensors. You may view, download and print pages for your own evaluation of our services. You may not reproduce our content for commercial purposes, or use the LekkaPay brand, without our prior written permission.

Accuracy of information

The content of this site is general information about our services. It is not financial, legal or tax advice, and you should not rely on it as such. The payment capabilities, supported methods and roadmap items described here may change as networks, regulations and our platform evolve; where a capability is marked "coming soon" or "in development", it is not yet available. Nothing on this site constitutes an offer capable of acceptance - services are provided under the Merchant Agreement.

The site links to third-party resources such as developer documentation, our public status page and partner websites. Those sites have their own terms and privacy notices, and we are not responsible for their content or availability.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by South African law, African Payment Solutions (Pty) Ltd accepts no liability for loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, this website or its content. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including any rights you may have under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and the South African courts have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them or from your use of the site.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always published on this page, and material changes will be reflected in an updated effective date «to be inserted: effective date».
